How We
Deliver!
ElbertonNET delivers High-Speed
Internet using state of the art technology. Your home is
connected to our network through a cable modem that is
provided by ElbertonNET. Data transmissions from that
modem are sent over a coaxial cable line from your home
to a network interface device, or node, positioned at
strategic locations throughout our network. That node
converts your data into light, which is then transmitted
over fiber optic cable to our network operations center
in Elberton. At that point, your data is transmitted to
the public Internet to the destination that you
specified in your application. The process is reversed
for downloads from the Internet to your computer. All of
these transmissions of data are handled in
micro-seconds, providing you with the highest Internet
access speeds available in our community.
